"Delivery has been so streamlined and written down and processed that, you know, every team member that we add, I can just copy and paste it."
Brennan Tobin is the founder of OddDuck, a growing agency that evolved from doing $20K–$30K in monthly recurring revenue into a seven-figure business. As OddDuck grew, Brennan realized that reaching the next level would require more than simply taking on additional clients—it would require systems that could support the team and the business without making him the bottleneck.
Before working with Agency Uplift, Brennan was working 70–80 hour weeks. The business was generating revenue, but too much of the day-to-day delivery, reporting, and client communication still depended on him.
That made growth difficult. Every new client created more work for Brennan, and adding team members did not automatically create more freedom. Without clear processes in place, Brennan had to stay close to the work to make sure problems were caught and clients were taken care of.
With help from Agency Uplift, Brennan built the systems and processes OddDuck needed to operate more independently. Delivery was documented, streamlined, and turned into repeatable workflows that the team could follow.
The change was more than just organizing tasks. OddDuck’s team learned how to take ownership of reporting, identify problems early, and handle client delivery without Brennan needing to be involved in every step.
“Here my team comes to me when there is a problem. My team handles reporting. I don't even get on client calls anymore.”
As a result, Brennan could step out of the operational details and focus on growth. New team members could be added using the same established processes instead of requiring Brennan to personally train and oversee every part of their work.
The new operating model gave OddDuck the foundation to scale. Brennan now leads a team of 10, while the business continues to grow without requiring him to work the same 70–80 hour weeks.
With delivery handled by documented systems and the team responsible for catching issues early, Brennan can focus on bringing in more business and continuing to grow OddDuck. He can even take time away from the company with confidence—including a planned two-week trip to Costa Rica—because the business no longer depends on him being available for every decision.
“I work because I want to, not because I have to.”
Brennan has continued working with Agency Uplift for two years and says he has no plans to stop. For him, the value has been learning in months what could otherwise take years of painful trial and error—and building the operational foundation that helped OddDuck become a seven-figure agency.
