"We are more profitable now than we were when we brought Sean in. And we have a lot more clarity and visibility into our numbers, our strategy."
Canguro Media is a social media marketing agency in Sweden led by Elias Karlsson. At around $50,000 in monthly revenue, the team was already growing—but they wanted to build the agency with more intention, stronger foundations, and a lot less unnecessary complexity.
Like many agency owners, Elias and his team had grown used to figuring things out as they went. It was easy to believe their challenges were unique and that the only way forward was more trial and error.
But that approach can create avoidable friction—especially as an agency grows. Hiring, culture, KPI tracking, follow-through, and deciding what to focus on can quickly become overwhelming when there is no simple operating framework behind it.
“Agency owners go through the same issues. They run into the same problems.”
After working with Sean and Agency Uplift for five to six months, Canguro Media began looking at its challenges differently. Instead of overcomplicating every problem, the team focused on simple, proven ways to solve the issues that show up across agencies.
A major priority was hiring with more clarity. Rather than bringing people in without a clearly defined purpose, Canguro Media started creating specific roles and outlining exactly what each person was responsible for inside the agency.
Agency Uplift also helped the team become more intentional about the kind of business they wanted to build—from the profit margins they wanted to achieve to the systems and priorities that would support sustainable growth.
“Simplicity scales, complexity fails.”
The result has been a more profitable, more focused agency. Canguro Media now has better visibility into its numbers and strategy, clearer roles across the team, and a simpler path for making decisions.
With less chaos and fewer headaches getting in the way, growing and scaling has become easier. For Elias, the biggest difference is that the agency is no longer trying to solve every challenge alone—it has a clearer model for building the business it wants.
“It’s been an absolute game changer.”
