Video transcript: My name is Dennis, so the company's name is AlphaDay. You have a beautiful, amazing idea. You love what you're passionate about, but suddenly you have to go and ask people for checks. Felt like I was just flying blind back at the time. I just winged it. Okay. Like, I have to go through all of that again. I was worried because the first time I did the fundraising, it was in a bull market. So things were so easy. Everyone was throwing money and, you know, even though we weren't polished, I didn't know what I was doing. I somehow made it through. But this time around, you know, we're in a bear markets, like, everything is down 70, which means VC's portfolios done are down 70%. They're all hurting. So I was basically worried like, okay, is this time, are we really going to struggle that much more? It was amazing timing that I came across your tweets. That was insightful and it was specific to fundraising. Like, everything you were sharing was like, like this nugget of wisdom that made me go, huh? Right. You're taking us with my co founder every week and breaking down the strategy to its different components. Like, that was a game changer for us. We have a billion dollar idea. We are fully confident this is going to work. We have the traction, we have the numbers. We can prove what we're talking about. We can't state just how much we appreciate what a change of. I don't know how to express it, but it's been a completely different experience since we started working with you. So, yeah, thank you so much for that.

Pablo Terpolilli
Ex-MD Goldman Sachs - CEO of Vabble
Video transcript: My name is Pablo Terpolilli. I'm the founder of Vabble. We have been approaching the. The fundraising process in an unstructured manner. I would say I've been on the lookout for some help, but I came across many, you know, wannabe helpers. I've had my fair share of wasting time. Really caught my attention. And then I did a little bit more digging around you, and I liked what I saw. And then I met you in, you know, in person during a meeting, and you had a very compelling message. The biggest unlock comes into actually understanding a lot more the point of view of the investor, being able to very clearly articulate what are sort of level one answers, level two answers, level three answers. It also really helped for them, you know, some of my partners and senior team members, to actually better understand the process and, you know, help me and help the company run that process, making us all together more accountable. Definitely step in, you know, step to the other side of the fence. You have to be results based in your approach and in your thinking and in whatever you do if you want your startup to succeed, to survive. We're super excited.

Selcuk Aciner
CEO of Wellspent
Video transcript: So my name is Selcuk, 31 years old. Co founder of Wellspent. I felt. I felt insecure. I felt insecure about story we could be telling. We have never raised from VCs before. I was always lacking the right words and the right analogies to make it extremely easy for everybody we're talking to. To also see what we're seeing. But bringing this into the simplest form that's extensible for others, so difficult. I wasn't sure if I would actually need support. I was wondering, like, do I actually need that? I felt extremely confident when we kicked everything off, and I think this boosted my confidence massively. Every time I saw that, I was like, yeah, they're getting it, they're getting it. The more confident I was about not only the story, but that they're seeing what we're seeing. But you feel insecure about the story you want to tell and you want to make sure that others see what you're seeing. Talk to Uli. I thought, I'm communicating clearly and I understood that. I don't yet. So, yeah, talk to Uli. Just like, if you have questions, talk to Uli. Just invest that 30 minutes.

Video transcript: My name is Daniel Somos. I'm co founder of a company called Dash. We do 3D software, AI powered 3D software, helping artists create 3D worlds. You're kind of lonely there when it comes to fundraising. Yeah, you're. You're alone on this journey. No one is. No one. No one is on your. No one is on your side. You see, like, all these weird companies raise money, like, I don't know, like Juice Zero or, you know, companies raise hundreds of million, then go to zero. And they're kind of confused, like, why is it so hard for me when those guys were so easy, so almost kind of upset that you took an investor meeting and they didn't seem to understand, although they maybe even had a bunch of investment in the sector. You could get upset that they didn't understand basic concepts. Someone that holds your hand. I guess that's a good way to put it during the process and is on your side. Psychologists call therapy, like, really dig deep. Like, okay, why are we actually doing this? Almost got myself more fired up about the business we're creating, the presentation and deck and everything that we ended up with. I don't know. It looks nothing like the thing I had before, which I was in love with or which I kind of liked and had spent a lot of time on, but that's like completely, completely threw it out.

Florian Breipohl
CEO of EnerKite
Video transcript: Yeah. Hi, I'm Florian. I'm the CEO of Enerkite Airborne Wind Energy. But we always had struggle with our pitch deck. The storytelling, it was not really systematic and structured. We were very good in authenticity and the technical part. Always we were quite convincing in that. But we had some weak points in being too long or to be too detailed in. The pitches are very good in crowdfunding and communication, but with bigger tickets, we were not so successful work with you. I really had this moment when I saw, okay, there is a systematic. There are points you can improve and very systematically improve to give the investors the information and the feeling that helps to persuade them for the first time. I had a really nice story in the pitch deck that was leading into the topic and really, really smooth and with a good. How do you say, dramatic curve. Yeah, yeah. You know, that was really cool. I feel a lot more confident in. I mean, in applying to what we. What I've learned. And I'm looking forward to the next confrontation with investors and also with the government body to see how they react. But I go into these meetings now with a good feeling. Yeah, don't wait too long. Because that was really a problem because we had a lot of pressure. Now I wished I had done it, I don't know, in December last year or November.

Kristina & Manuel Heinemann
Founders of Nomadi
Video transcript: Christina and I are the not only a couple in private life, but founders of Nomadi, which is a rental platform for toys and children's equipment. I think we were only like 80% convinced we were about to do a fundraise. We had this really weak founder story of us sitting on the couch coming up with the idea and then going for it. Yeah, I'd say we were super blurry. Is that even a word in everything. And didn't know what we had what to focus on. You. You absolutely helped unpacking that. Did you get a deal on Shark Tank? Isn't that. We did. We did. We could only develop that because we had done the work with you before that. We were feedback that were super impressive. During the Q and A and I we even started lecturing other people on no, you have to come up. If you ask that in that question, you have to come up with a number first. Then you give the context. I really like the aspect that you weren't sweet talking us in any way, but rather say no, no, that's not a thing. You should focus. And this. This is really something that clicks with investors. And instead of seeing this as a task to accomplish, this is something and felt like really, really investing in. In ourselves to a level that we never did before. Money well spent, well invested.

Ansgar Oberholz
CEO of St. Oberholz
Video transcript: My name is Anska Oberholz and as my last name a bit points to is that I'm the founder and CEO of Sanktobaltz and we are running an operating business for real estate and we are growing fast at the moment. Before I started working with you, I was often stick to one or two contacts and I thought these must be the one that solved the fundraising thing. Really painful to chase them and to. To get them at the table. I was afraid that if I talk to so many people that it would like devaluate my product or my company. Two big aha moments. The one was to present the founder story and the company in a. In a very smart and very nice way. Really working on the founder story was a big aha moment for me. Moment for me. And I really, really enjoyed working on that and really enjoyed using it and really worked. What you teach me is this numbers games totally in a totally different mindset in a meeting when you know that you talk to 20 or 30 people at one moment and instead of talking to two or three people so you are really feeling much better, much confident to learn how to. To get more intros and like nice intros now at the end I had more contacts than I needed to close the round. I learned so much from you and I really, I'm really thankful that we met.

Marc Pérez Martí
CEO of Silt
Video transcript: I'm Marc. I'm the founder of Silt. We felt like we were behind their timings and we could not handle the process on our own. We felt like we were in the dark then how to target the investors outside our network. We did not have much money. There are many people claiming to say that they will help you, but it's very hard to know if they will actually be of help or they will be very superficial. I think that the thing that we learn the most is a process. That there's a process to everything. Good response rates and we have already 60 meetings. Almost 60 meetings. More than 30% opt in. Right. That's awesome. Have a few term sheets. I think that it's just not a consultancy process. Is. It's like kind of the way I see it is like boot camps to fundraising that I think it's elemental to properly fundraising. Bigger rounds. Right.
