“Hi, I'm Bobbi Bellagio. I am a teacher at Leesburg High School located in Lake County, Florida. And we've been using Chalk Talk this school year as part of our intensive reading program. Before using Chalk Talk, we had some material that was a bit outdated, and so now we're getting something that's a lot more current and tailored to the ACT and the sa. And so one of the things that I really like about Chalk Talk is I can monitor my students progress, take a look at how they're doing with the adaptive practice, and students are getting real time feedback on their work. It's very easy for them to understand when they have five questions and they're answering three or more correctly that they are meeting their goal. I would just say if you're thinking about Chalk Talk, take a look at the lessons, take a look at the structure, and give it a try. It simplifies lesson planning and I really like it. As far as setting up my daily routine, I can have students work on the opener as they're coming into the classroom, and then we get started with the lesson. Easy peasy.”
