Ms. Des has been the most patient and supportive teacher to my son, Syd. Her adept knowledge of music and understanding of the instrument has helped Syd learn everything he knows so far about playing the piano. She always makes sure his requests are accommodated while staying true to teaching him the essence of classical music as well.

My experience was Des has been a very insightful and positive experience for me. I have felt 100% comfortable with Des since day one which means a lot to me as a transgender male. I have been able to find a completely new voice with her. It means a lot to me because I am learning to sing for my fiancé on our wedding day.

Ms. Des has helped me a lot through the time i have been working with her! thanks to her i can sing for longer without taking a breath, and have a bigger range of notes

My time taking beginner piano lessons and working with Desiree has been a complete joy. As an older student coming back to music after many years, the intimidation I felt immediately melted away when I met the staff and my teacher, Desiree. It has been so fun, invigorating, and rewarding to learn music again, and Desiree has made the experience not only approachable but exceptional. I did not know I was going to meet such a kind, talented, and passionate music teacher - and I feel so lucky that I did! If you are considering lessons, definitely give it a try - it will open your mind, and this is the most positive, inclusive, and wonderful place to give it a go!

JMA is a great place, especially for beginners learning to sing. Des is an incredible coach and teaches all the basics you need to know to understand how singing works and connect back with your body. I started as a true beginner and 7 months later I feel comfortable to sing in front of other people which I had never done in the past. Coming here after a long day of work is a great release for me. Thanks Des for everything.

I wanted to stop after my previous voice lessons, but once I started with Desiree, they helped me gain back my confidence. And now I love my singing lessons.
