β€œI think my enjoyment of Level Up Club has transitioned over the years. I've been a member for quite a while and I think that it's been interesting to explore how it has provided value as my role has changed throughout different positions at different companies. So I would say like in the beginning I had mentorship sessions with Femke where we had some one on one time to get feedback on portfolio and how I was presenting certain case studies. There's other times where we've had more community events and we've been able to get into breakout groups and discuss certain topics together, which has been really helpful. I would say like probably the most consistent thing that I found value in over the years as there's been so many changes is that I um, you know, you could be at a company for a couple of months, a couple of years and those situations change. Whereas in a weird way I feel like Level Up Club never changes. It's sort of like consistently always there. So even if your job changes, you get laid off, you get promoted, colleagues come and go. Level Up Club is like one place, you know that you're going to have a community of people to be able to brainstorm ideas with, to attend different events with and just give, get overall advice and kind of feel like you're part of a greater team. I think there's a lot of designers that are on solo teams or maybe only working with a couple people. And Level Up Club is a way to sort of broaden your community and to be able to get feedback that's greater than just your own small team or maybe just yourself if you're working solo. Recently I've also really enjoyed, we've had some like these community events. I think it's been like once per quarter and that's been really fun too, just because sometimes it's nice to have sort of like a design theme and talk about trends. Like we've talked about AI trends where people are located and then we'll often have like breakout sessions where there's different topics that you can discuss, whether it's portfolio stuff, AI, how people are using AI. So it's just been really lovely to see how the community has developed. And again, like I said, I think that, you know, things change over time. I mean, we've gone through a pandemic, we've gone through layoffs, we were in a really tough job market right now. Having a community in a club that you know is consistent and that will sort of always be there and can async get feedback on things is just a really nice benefit to have in today's world. So that's, I think, the biggest value that I find in Level Up Club.”
