“Hey everybody. My name is JD Youngblood and this time last year, my life looked totally different. I was transitioning from working at a church for 11 years to deciding to move to Nashville to pursue something involving music or production somewhere in there. For years I've watched and learned from Will, share his extensive knowledge when it comes to Ableton and Playback. So I just thought it makes sense to go a step further and challenge myself even more and do the boot camp from studio to stage. And here's what I got out of the 12 weeks. More knowledge and know how and step by step processes on how to achieve redundant playback across all kinds of things, audio, lighting and visuals. I met an amazing group of artists and musicians that just want to support each other. If I ever needed like another brain or something to find a solution to an answer, I always knew I had a vast pool of knowledge that I could ask from to help. I always look forward to every weekly call getting to see everyone from wherever they're at, share everything we were about to learn together. The calls are super fun. Trust me. The tools that were given I will now be able to use for years to come in any future projects that might come my way. My confidence grew even more than what I thought that I had or that I was capable of. I feel more focused and relaxed in high pressure situations. I learned that when you put the reps in, you get stronger and quicker in whatever it is you do. Also, no question is a dumb question. I was always hesitant in school to kind of like ask any kind of question because I didn't want to be considered that dumb kid. But this environment truly welcomes any level of experience no matter where you're at on the journey. We're all just wanting to help each other get better. And all of what I have learned in the boot camp I know will spread up and down and all the way around through the line of the team. I'm working with everyone around me. What I do and how I do it makes basically everyone else better. So if you're considering boot camp, really consider it. Fill out an application. The worst thing they could do is say no, but at least go home knowing that you tried. Maybe this isn't the best fit for everyone, but. But yeah, either way you tried and I feel like that's better than not trying. So which is also something from Studio Stage and the bootcamp helped me learn is let's try it, see what happens Again. My name is JD Appreciate everyone from Studio Stage and Will and the whole team love y'. All appreciate you and have a blessed day.”
