I've been using Inkdrop for 5 years, Inkdrop is a great markdown note-taking app, with community plugins, it's wider the functionalities, very recommend to try Inkdrop that Takuya has been updating it over the years.

I never really took notes before using Inkdrop. It completely changed the way I think about note-taking. What used to feel like a chore now feels natural, fast, and genuinely useful - with the MCP server also available even my coding agents can document stuff in Inkdrop with issues. It made it easy for me to start capturing ideas, organizing what matters, and actually coming back to my notes later. It honestly didn’t just give me a better app, it gave me a whole new perspective on why note-taking is valuable in the first place.

I've tried countless note-taking apps over the years. Inkdrop is one that finally stuck. The Markdown-first approach fits perfectly into my dev workflow. I think in Markdown anyway, so taking notes feels completely natural. 😂 What I love most is how focused and fast it is. No bloat, vim key bindings, no distractions, just clean space to organize my thoughts, document issues, and keep track of solutions. The plugin ecosystem and customizability are a huge bonus! It adapts to how I work, not the other way around. Since using Inkdrop, my productivity has noticeably improved. Having all my dev notes organized and searchable across devices and systems means I spend less time re-googling things and more time actually doing stuff. Would absolutely recommend it to any developer looking for a reliable, no-nonsense note-taking companion. 😊

I don’t even use it for tech notes, and it’s still one of the best tools available — for one simple reason: simplicity. Inkdrop is a tool that focuses heavily on thoughtful design, always keeping things simple. There are new features as well, but it never forgets the simplicity that, deep down, we all love.

Excellent app which I use every, every day on multiple machines, that boosts my productivity every day. I used most of similar products, both free and paid. This one is on my top three list and the only one that I really use constantly, pretty much for everything, from design sketches of architecture, graphs (PlantUML, Mermaid) code snippets, project notes, to TODO lists.

Just what I needed. I love writing notes in Markdown and not thinking about formatting further. Uploading images is a breeze which makes it even better. And the cross-compatibility for mobile/tablet/laptop is perfect. Takuya-san is amazing at what he does.

I’ve never really used a proper note-taking app, I mostly rely on Neovim and GitHub. Yesterday, I decided to try Inkdrop, and I love it. I really like that it supports Vim commands—the transition from Neovim to Inkdrop wasn’t hard for me at all. I also love that I’m in control of which plugins I enable, so I can tweak it and use it exactly the way I want. I’m still on the free trial and slowly transferring my notes from GitHub. I hope the Solarized Osaka theme becomes available in the future as well. I highly recommend this app: less noise, less clutter. Wonderfully simple yet powerful note-taking app. Been using it for years. Reasons I love it: seamless syncing between all devices, secure, vim keybindings, markdown support, and continuous support and updates. It's really a delightful app and I can't recommend it enough!

I basically did the whole journey. Notion, Obsidian, Joplin, Acreom then again Obsidian and I always struggled to spend money for a productivity tool like a markdown editor. But come on Inkdrop is lit. Can't wait to use it within my day to day business! And besides that Takuya truly deserves this support as his videos as support emotional I think. Very easy to use, and I use it every day to organize my notes for work. Currently I order things by date and tags, but I am looking at creating a plugin that will order these a bit nicer, which is also an very nice thing with Inkdrop, it is fully customizable for how you want to have things. Very excellent piece of kit, that I have been using for a while (as you can see from my example image of my usage on how I organize notes)... highly recommended

I'm from Bolivia, and I love this notes editor. It's minimalist and simple, perfect for documenting projects and organizing documentation. I love all my notebook notes and another editor that required a lot of complication. I migrated to Inkdrop. For my country, it's a bit expensive, but it's worth having. 100/100. Regards.

I just love Inkdrop! It helped me with my work as a developer and increased my productivity getting a right mindset taking tech notes. I really enjoy this app from the developer who also developing the app he is passionate. I like using markdown to take note for my study, work and personal work. Before I have started to migrate all my notes to this app, I have follow Mr. Takuya's social media for a very long time, only decide subscribe it. And of course, I will shared it to my close friend and colleague.

Inkdrop is a no-frills note-taking tool. I've migrated from Evernot to Notion, from Notion to Obsidian, and from Obsidian to Inkdrop. While Notion feels like a website editor and Obsidian feels like a note-taking IDE, Inkdrop leans more towards an email feel. To me, that feels more welcoming and friendly. The mobile app is easy to navigate (Notion's mobile app is horrendous), and I find this very useful as I usually read my notes on the go. I'm in for the long run and I want to see how Inkdrop holds up with a full year of daily note taking.

I have been using Inkdrop for some time now and having notes sync between my phone and my computer(s) in a language that I enjoy using and can format easily has been invaluable to me and my company. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who knows and enjoys using markdown for note taking or if you are willing to take just a few minutes to learn if you are an avid note taker.

I've been using it for around 2 years now and I really like it. I appreciate the extensibility, customisability via json keybindings and for the adventurous there's even an init.js file one can tinker with to add even more flexibility. And then there's even the option to write a whole plugin as well. It's really great. Another favourite feature of mine is the pasting html as markdown functionality. I like to keep all of my notes in markdown and this makes it very handy. The auto URL naming feature is also a great recent addition. The iOS app is also pretty good for viewing notes on the go, and for taking simple notes. I even use inkdrop to replace the TODO app I used to use before. I realised a simple checklist is kinda all I really need, and it's perfect for these simple things. I can only recommend it, especially if you like to tinker a bit more here and there.

Been using Inkdrop for 2 years now and it's been my go to app for notes ever since (even on my phone). It's very intuitive and has many plugins to make it your own. i would recommend hands down.

Best note taking software I have come across. The Vim integration plugin is by far the best I have ever used in a product. The desktop app ( Linux for me ) and the mobile app ( iOS for me ) are very intuitive and easy to work with. I have experimented with Inkdrop for about a week and I am very impressed with it. I also enjoy supporting the work of independent developers and I am happy to become a part of the Inkdrop community.

I write notes on a variety of platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux(Ubuntu and Arch), iOS, Android). And Inkdrop helps me to share them :D I am not a good note taker. But notes are necessary. So I don't need complicated functions. Inkdrop is a simple notepad application. It also supports Vim with an official plugin because the author is a Vimmer. This is very helpful because I use Vim. I make notes in Japanese and English. I think Inkdrop is a very good service :) If your friend is a frequent note taker in Vimmer, I would recommend Inkdrop. This is because Inkdrop is a bit expensive for Japanese. If your friend's use is only for notes, other apps would be better.

The thing I like the most about Inkdrop is that it is fast and easy to make beautiful notes and has just the right set of features for my needs. I use it for technical notes, and it is excellent for writing equations with LaTex and including code snippets. The search function is fast, and I can read and edit notes effortlessly on all my devices: Windows, Linux, and iOS. I have not experienced any stability issues during the two years I have used the app.

The only thing that fails for the application to get 5 stars is the error when installing a theme and not having the option to glass in the theme.

I migrated to Inkdrop lately (for notetaking stuff) and boy, oh boy, do I love all the community plugins, especially the one introducing mermaid charts! A markdown block with some mermaid-specific commands and bam - you have a lovely chart! Super cool when planning workflows!

Amazing software. It’s so nice to just write in markdown and not be overwhelmed by so many features (like I was with Notion and other tools).

I have used Apple Note (iDevices only), Google Keep (not powerful), Evernote (not simple enough for developers and too expensive for personal use) and a few other famous note-taking apps. Each of them has some disappointments that keep me searching for an app that will satisfy me. Then I found Inkdrop. Simple, powerful, fast, smooth, cross-OS and cross-device. The only drawback is that I have an iPhone with iOS 14.6 and the app does not support it.

I follow your channel and your doings for a while now and was always inspired by your videos being outside while coding, also the way of how you presented it. Well designed and efficient, the best note taking application I found over the time. Themes are convenient, tags and notebooks have become a must for me, and sync is working smoothly between windows, linux and my smartphone. Inkdrop has really become my personal notebook.

I was looking for a note-taking tool in Markdown that nails the basics for a professional setting (clean interface, support for code snippets, export of .md files) and Inkdrop covers everything. The tool of course has some issues but it is continuously being improved, and I will definitely support the project in the long-run. Can only recommend!

I use Inkdrop mainly for professional purposes. My requirements are met at 100%: pure Markdown syntax/content, good structure for content organiziation (nested categories and Tags), strong search function and local backup in readable data-format. Last but not least the UI looks good.

It is hard to explain the feeling of taking notes in markdown on a daily basis, there's something about inkdrop that gives me the need to write something every day. It has become my new study tool in my software development process, watching Takuya's videos when he is taking notes while studying motivates me a lot, it is simple and beautiful, has many cool plugins to complement your experience using the app and I love that it synchronizes your notes instantly with the mobile app so you can't miss any chance of write something anytime!

Former user of Evernote for years, I searched for a long time an application with a standard data format, which is fast, multiplatform (Linux), with a sense of aesthetics, Inkdrop is all that. Reliable app, I use it every day.
