The TTS was a game changer for our program.  In our first season using it last spring our athletes, both JV and Varsity, ran PRs and many did so multiple times. They were prepared and executed their fastest performances late in the season.  We had athletes qualify for the State Meet for the first time.  The training helped increase athlete confidence and successes from it helped create excitement for the sport that then carried over into summer training and fall cross country.  To see our kids succeed from top to bottom and have a blast was worth the cost of the program.  I would highly recommend it to any coach.

We have had a successful program for many years, but I am always looking for ways to improve. Last year I attended the Boulder Running Clinic for the first time and learned a lot.  I purchased the TTS and began to incorporate parts of it into our training program.  One of the things I liked the best was the consistency of the pre-run and post-run work. We used the Boele pre-run routines and the progression of post-run activities (red, orange, yellow, & green). At the end of the season, we definitely felt that all of the strength & mobility work helped us stay mostly injury free.  I also appreciated the recommended workouts and used several within the context of our program.  I'm looking forward to diving deeper into the TTS this winter & spring.

The TTS (last winter/spring) and the XCTS Programs (summer/fall) really forced me to rethink training and helped me to make changes that helped our runners in numerous ways.    Our athletes stayed injury-free and have really improved over the last 12 months.  We just wrapped up a XC season where we had so many PRS towards the end of the season.  The TTS and XCTS have so many resources, including training programs, supplemental routines, warm-up/cooldown routines, and much more.  These programs are tremendous for veteran and rookie coaches. For veteran coaches like myself, it was great to reflect on what we were doing and to make some changes. For new coaches, this is also pure gold because it gives you a terrific road map.  Finally, Coach Johnson is always available to answer questions and is a wealth of information!

We started the TTS training in 2022, first I want to say the kids loved it. We saw each kid set a personal records in their events. But most importantly we did not have any set back injuries. We utilized the Mental skill videos and you could see the shift in their mental approach to practices and meets. I as a coach loved it because it allowed me to not stress about workouts to do and took the guessing game out of it, It nice to have Jay be a mentor for you and have open conversations about what's best for the kids. After Track season was over I saw how beneficial the TTS program was so of course I had to get the XCTS. Our 23' XC season was the best its been in years. I cannot thank Coach Jay enough for his dedication to the sport of running and coaching us coaches. His system has been a game changer for our program! - Whitney Enis (Head XC /Distance Track Burleson High Texas)

$495 is a lot of money, especially for HS teachers and coaches. But spending that amount ONE TIME for the Track Training System is the single best investment a coach can make.  It is easy to use and Jay provides clear instructions on how to execute each day. Just as important, he provides just the right amount of explanation that you can give to your runners.  TTS also creates a partnership with Jay and a network of other HS coaches who are crazy-accomplished and helpful. The best part is that you will no longer be all alone in coaching.  Jay’s level of support is off the charts great, and you will see a collaboration around training that is safe, progressive, and flexible for 6 events (800, 1600, 3200, 4x800, 4x400, DMR).  The best part is that such smart, synthesized training allows you to spend even more time on building relationships with your runners.    The TTS is worth every cent.

After purchasing the TTS in the spring for my track student-athletes, I was very excited when Jay announced that he would also be coming out with the XCTS. His XCTS was just what I (and my program) needed.  The running workouts were arranged in a way that made perfect sense, and the post-run workouts made a huge difference in my runner's performances this season. The number of career PR's that the runners in my program achieved this season was incredible!  After not making it to State as a team last season, my girl's team earned a trip back to State and 3 of my 7 runners had their season PR's at State, with 2 of them achieving career PR's (including my only senior on my varsity squad).  I wish I would've had something like this 7 years ago when I started coaching, as Jay's XCTS (and TTS) is a game changer.  I also purchased the Mental Skills program, and although I have not gotten through the whole program, what I have watched and shared with my team made a huge difference, especially in our postseason meets.  I am excited to see what changes Jay has made to the TTS and I look forward to more of my runners achieving PR's this spring!

Just wanted you to know how beneficial the TTS has been to me this track season.    I’ve purchased other digital books and courses to help me become a better coach. Sadly, most of them have ended up as unused digital file on my computer because they weren’t easy to follow or implement.  Jay has designed TTS to be easily usable. Available on an app, the videos and training plans are broken down into easy to find sections within the TTS, making it quick to find what you need, print or watch, and implement.  Many of the videos I’ve watched multiple times; and, as I learn from Jay and become more experienced with the principles of training, the videos become more helpful.  The TTS also included several live webinars. Jay’s excitement and passion for helping high school athletes is evident especially during the webinars. He is eager to answer questions, clarify details of how to execute a specific workout, and share the “why” behind so many of the principles he teaches.  I’m still fairly new to coaching and needed help being certain that the volume and intensity I assigned an athlete was right. Jay helped me figure that out and was always available to help me adjust the plans to fit my meet schedule.  Everything Jay said would be in the TTS was there - the training plans, pre and post work, webinars, videos...even the PR’s! Can’t wait to get going with the XC season training!

Wow, where to start! First of all, after using Jay's TTS last winter/spring for track, I was so impressed by the system that I also purchased the XCTS this summer, as well as the Mental Skills course this fall.  All of these systems help me reach my student athletes in a whole new way. Being a fairly new coach at the varsity level, I am always looking for different ways to enhance my practice to get the most out of my runners. The TTS helped me do just that!  Not only does Jay give you day by day plans, he also explains the workouts and why this workout is done on this specific day. Additionally, his pre and post workout plans are phenomenal!  Not only did ALL of my runners run personal bests last season (400-1500m), but they were also healthy all season!  This is a testament to the way his workouts are structured, especially the post-workout progression. My runners are revving their engines every day, as well as strengthening their chassis after every workout. All of this leads to stronger and faster athletes who are healthy throughout the season.  His plans are more than worth their price and I am excited to work Jay's new wrinkles into my program in the coming months, as I know my runners will be healthy, strong and ready to run some fast times later this spring!   If you are having second thoughts on whether or not the TTS can help your program, I encourage you to check out all the videos and content that he shares in his emails. If you like these, purchasing the TTS will give you much more, along with personally being able to ask Jay questions about anything!  He is prompt at responding to emails, most the day of or the next day, and has worked with high school athletes for many years, so he knows what you are experiencing and can help navigate you through the ups and downs of the track season.  As I mentioned previously, I liked Jay's TTS so much that I have purchased two more of his systems (XCTS and MSC), as well as attended his Boulder Running Clinic in Boulder earlier this month.  Purchasing the TTS has helped my program immensely and I anticipate even more personal bests this season and beyond! Thanks Jay!
