Kevin is one of the distinguished teachers for teaching advanced maths. His carefully crafter teaching programs enable students to build strong competence in advanced maths..I would strongly recommend him for coaching on advanced mathematics of a wide variety of age groups.
My son attended one of your Junior Olympiad classes just before the JMO 2022. He got a Gold Medal in the JMO. He also got a Silver in the Cayley Olympiad and he was put in for the SMC by the school and qualified for BMO1 later this month which will be a huge jump as he is only 13!
My son did Kangaroo classes with Kevin as he was excited to do Kangaroo but also pretty nervous. Kevin combines fantastic maths teaching pitched at just the right level for these sessions with a calm and understated style that puts children at ease. My son thoroughly enjoyed the maths and was both stretched and encouraged by the classes.
Hi Kevin, I went for JMO 2023 as a Year 6 student and got distinction (41 marks). I did the Go For Gold course and took your JMO prep lessons - the three week course. You were great at teaching and the way you taught was magical - I understood everything! Next year, I will try get a bronze or silver medal, or if possible even gold. Thank you Kevin.
My son attended the JMC class, he really did enjoy your lessons, your lessons really inspired him on his interest in maths! really connected with the way you explained the problem solving. He did get a gold certificate, just missed out on the kangaroo, he is going into secondary school year 7 in September so he'll strengthen his algebra skill for the next JMC.
My daughter took a batch of 10 classes with Kevin as prep for IMC. I found Kevin extremely knowledgeable and accessible. I liked the fact that he would hear out a solution from a student and point out what it addressed and what it didn't address and another way to approach the problem. My daughter learnt a lot from these classes and I am definitely registering her for more. Thanks SS
My daughters have both taken the on line live group lessons and the pre recorded JMC course. Both are excellent. Dr Olding has a very engaging and simple way of explaining quite complex problems and methods sometimes in multiple ways, which is a result of him being such an accomplished mathematician and practised teacher. My girls have learnt so much from both his courses and lessons, and really enjoy their time with him.
My daughter last year did JMO (Junior Math Olympiad) live lesson with Kevin and we still cant believe that she achieved a GOLD, and was "best in the school". Kevin was wonderful in teaching her the ways to write step by step answers to score, without which I feel she would have got a bronze or less. He also taught her how to allocate the timing for Section A and B which was a game changer. Highly highly recommend Mathsaurus.
Hey Kevin Thank you so much for your help during the three week Junior Math Olympiad course. You have helped me so much, and have helped me understand the beauty of math, and understand the importance of the thinking behind a given answer. Kevin is a great teacher, and I think that his method of teaching is great enjoyable and really helps develop the joy behind mathematics. Kevin has helped me score great. Kevin is an amazing tutor with a vast array of knowledge in the field of Mathematics and beyond. He has been privately tutoring my son for a short time online as well as in small groups to prep him for the PMC and JMC as well as for my son’s entrance exam. As a direct result of Kevin’s tutoring my son has consistently since 2020 achieved a Gold Certificate in the PMC and JMC as well as 90+% on most of his End of Term Mathematics Exam. In my son’s final year at his Prep School, he managed to win an Academic Scholarship to a leading independent competitive boy’s school, and I couldn’t be more elated with the outcome. I would highly recommend Kevin for anyone who wishes their child to excel in Mathematics.
We live in the EU but my 13-year old son goes to an international school following the British curriculum (IGCSEs and international A-levels). He is currently in Year 9. We discovered Mathsaurus last year and since then my son has won a Gold Certificate Best in School in the Junior Maths Challenge and a Certificate of Merit in the Junior Maths Olympiad (in Year 8), two Gold Certificates Best in Year in the Intermediate Maths Challenge (last year in Year 8 and this year in Year 9) and has qualified for the semi-finals in the Belgian Mathematical Olympiad (this year). His school is great but does not provide extra support for gifted students and does not teach maths in sets so I credit Kevin and his magic. Thank you so much! I wholeheartedly recommend Mathsaurus to all students who want to go beyond school maths and to develop mathematical thinking.
