I have been following loish since she posted self portrait on deviantart and have been a fan for a long time I signed up for her patreon as a fan of her work and in hopes of learning from her and I can highly recommend her patreon after having been a member for some months now Loish does so much great content and shares so much of her knowledge and does amazing challenges not just for her patreons but also for herself

I feel that I've learned so much from Loish, even from her first few basic tutorials she taught me new approaches to art that brought life and fun back into my process. I'm not exaggerating when I say her tutorials completely changed my approach to digital art. She has a very gentle and kind approach to teaching. I find it really encouraging. I also quite enjoy her "tutorials" that are more about habits, burnout, imposter syndrome, etc. She has a lot of great wisdom to share. On top of that she is always super professional and reliable. Her video tutorials are high quality. She keeps her schedule very well and you always know what to expect. Also I didn't know that there are videos for any topic you want: from organising the art-flow to hacks for worliing with colour. Honestly, I’m really impressed by how professional and well-organized the tutorials and all the content are. Being able to study with step-by-step videos is exactly what I needed—especially to understand the coloring process: what works, what doesn’t, and why. In that sense, it’s been helping me a lot. I just joined as a patron and I’m starting with the older tutorials. There’s a huge amount of material and exercises, which is great because it gives me a clear learning path and helps me stay organized. I’d recommend this Patreon without hesitation, although I do think it’s better suited for people with some experience—if you’re a complete beginner, it might feel a bit overwhelming. But for intermediate artists or anyone who feels stuck and isn’t sure how to move forward, this Patreon is an excellent solution.

I usually end up pulling out an old unfinished piece and trying out a technique I learned from your tutorials, and those usually end up to be one of my favorite pieces! You explain a lot of art concepts very clearly and the examples you show make it easy to understand. I first bought the tutorial on environments, then took advantage of the promotion to subscribe to Patreon Flame. My partner and I spent the evening drawing along with the tutorial, and we both found it to be high quality and well explained, even for the more complex notions and concepts! We are French and have limited English skills, but we understood everything because the vocabulary is very well adapted. I don't regret my purchase or subscribing to Patreon. I've been following Loish for a long time, and despite my small budget, I can already see how generous she is with the content she offers us, how high-quality and accessible it is for everyone. The constant stress at work and the pressure I put on myself made me think that I actually hate to do art. Because of how forced and painful the process had become for me. Loish talks a lot about the psychological aspect of being an artist and it's incredibly important to hear that we all go through this crisis from time to time. I found a lot of useful tips and exercises on how to get back into drawing and i'm still learning to enjoy it again. I'm subscribed to Loish Patreon for 3 years now. It's gold. You can learn basics and beyond about digital painting and artistic process. What I especially love about Loish tutorials is that they are bite size and on point. Unlike overarching tutorials you typically find online, these are best fit when you want to improve a certain aspect of your craft without a commitment to a big curriculum.

I don't always have time to watch tutorials but every single one from Loish has been SO HELPFUL. Things I was stuck on for years like stylisation and artist's block were so much easier to navigate. Very well made videos, super clear, and on a ton of different topics. 100 % recommend !

It's hard to condense all what Loish's Patreon represents in a short review. I'm considering, it it's useful for you (Loish, you will tell me if it makes sense for you) to leave eventual reviews about a month milestone, old and recent findings in content archives. Well, this is my first review: The artist is the him/herself, his/her work, and the speech behind everything. Loish is an archetypical artist of the times i'm living, and through her patreon we all have access to the best of her according to her sharing priorities: her life lessons trough her art, and viceversa. We have access to her art process; much more than time-lapses... her reasoning, doubts, decisions and in depth learning curves beyond art. Wisdom, more than dogmas, conclusions and paths, is being able to guide through whatever journey we're in. I've been a flame thing here for some months and I'm just starting to decompress how deep all her art/life lessons are smoothly impacting my own art. I feel smart through her tutorials, capable through her process videos and close through her Q&A's. This is a community of dreamers, people that can't live without art, artists (even when even us are having difficulties to call ourselves that way) with something to say... here's where we come to mumble, hesitate, looking for grammar. Drawing is easy. Drawing what we have inside is easy too, but delicate, and we need to understand ourselves and by others in similar journeys to make our art make the sense we need to express it and reply to anything anyone could say. As a beginner artist, Loish's Patreon has been instrumental in helping me learn new skills and techniques. Not only does she share practical information and activities to help you improve but I also really enjoy when she shares her experiences and ideologies on the 'life and mind of an artist' how it can be a struggle, how to overcome certain roadblocks and be kind to yourself in the process of learning. I really appreciate how she is always open to feedback and new ideas for future tutorials and she's constantly checking in with her community on discord and livestreams, it makes me feel like she really values her audience/customer and wants to provide what they're after! I've been a free patreon for a few months now, own tw of her physical artbooks and the free content on here on its own is so worthwhile! but I've been craving for more in depth and more extensive resources so I decided to recently upgrade to paid patreon and from the first few minutes browsing through your backlog of tutorials and challenges made me realize I should've done this sooner! incredibly insightful tutorials and the most masterfully done approaches to topics that I love. I also feel happy that I can get to support a favourite artist of mine! and I have to say I've already told a lot of my friends to do the same! it's just incredible for artists of all ranges. Not to be dramatic, but seriously, being a member of Lois's patreon changed my art 4eva. And I don't mean it in a way that I just watched one of her tutorials and I was ready to take over the art world D: It was a gradual thing where I slowly started to pick up the many valuable lessons she shares over her Q&As, challenges and tutorials. Loish's tutorials have been transformative for my art journey. She's very detailed and thoughtful in how she communicates her process. As someone interested in stylization, it can be difficult to find worthwhile art instruction that doesn't discourage stylizing early, so I was so happy to discover a resource with such indepth content that supports my real artistic goals. I've learned so much from her about shape design, learning from studies, intuitive approaches to color and lighting, and communicating depth and volume in my work. I would highly recommend her to other artists, especially ones interested in digital workflows and creating more stylized pieces.

Oh, where to start! Loish’ content has made me continue with my artistic journey - Especially at times when I felt out of balance artistically. I really enjoy the monthly challenges because you are sort of forced to try new things. And I love to listen to the QA sessions as a podcast-format when I commute etc. (I don’t even need to watch it - I just listen). I’m a procreate user but I don’t think it matters that the medium differs. The techniques are translatable. I would recommend Loish to every artist -beginner or seasoned!

The content you create is so thoughtful and inspiring and I can honestly say your tutorials are the most useful, helpful and interesting I've seen. Loish’s Patreon has been huge for me in learning digital art. Even tho I use Procreate primarily and she usually uses a different software, she explains in a way that I can apply it in Procreate still to my own work. But even then, she also has some videos that are specifically Procreate focused at times too! Best of both worlds, really. I also really love her style and approach towards digital art. Yes, it’s digital, but sort of with a sprinkling of traditional effects throughout. Which I, as a self taught traditional artist, really appreciate. I love texture. What can I say? I look forward to seeing more of what Loish has to come and actually learning digital art while along for the ride. (Cause I had been kinda lost in the tutorials since I found her.) Loish is a wonderful artist, that's a given. But in the context of her Patreon community, I've seldom seen so much VALUE generously shared with patrons, even at the eminently reasonable Spark level ($5/mo). Patrons have access to a great library of tutorials, WIP previews, and art discussions, and members actively pursuing art, whether as a career or hobby, will greatly benefit from the challenges, resources, and other skill-building activities that are offered every month. I'm more art fan than artist, and I still enjoy seeing what Loish is doing and offering every month--and it has enriched my thinking about design and color concepts that I use personally and in my business. The deeper you are into art, the more you would enjoy--and benefit from--being her patron.

I was a bit scared to pursue Loish's flowy and expressive style at first, to be honest. Now though, I can't stop myself from skipping any of her tutorials. Heck, I think I rewatch each her tutorial at least 3 times. She is an amazing teacher who's able to empathized with her students, sharing her journey, tools, and skills. I also love how she shows her earlier artworks and talks about how she learned from them and also the artists that she’s inspired by. She also has a summary recap printout on her tutorials which is so helpful. Such an amazing and inspiring artist and I 100% recommend her classes no matter where you are in your art journey!

I love loishs patreon! I’m following a few artists and loish Is the one I’m learning the most from. The little tutorials are well written and shown and I love the process videos and that she’s introducing her audience to a certain check list depending on the project she’s doing. The only thing I’m personally struggling a bit with is, that I only have access to procreate and she’s doing a good 85% of her art in photoshop. I can very much understand that it’s her personal Preference and there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s been the biggest obstacle for me to learn things and techniques in my procreate and having to understand photoshop from her videos and such which I’m not owning and the background story to it , so I can try and translate it into procreate and it’s not really an option.

I have been following Loish for decades now, since we were teens, she has always been my favorite digital illustrator. I loved seeing her growth, I admired the softness and poetry she has always been able to convey through her art. I'm so impressed with Loish's Patreon. I'm a digital painter and have been a fan of her work for many years but only recently decided to subscribe to it. It's such an incredible value. I have painted miniatures for tabletop games, D&D, etc as my full time career for over a decade now. Being a self taught artist through trial and error (mostly error) digital art always seemed so overwhelming and out of reach for me. I started dabbling with the procreate+ipad combo in my free time after some RSI issues forced me to back off temporarily from miniature painting. Loish's Patreon has helped me learn and improve my artwork in so many ways! It's kind of hard to explain, but I don't get the feeling of somehow being "behind" due to not knowing something in Loish's videos. Even in videos I feel like are more advanced than my skill level she manages to address the "newbie" side of a subject.. Sortof the "here's what I should do with this now" and the "here's what I can work towards" type of takeaway. As I improved, I would rewatch a video I saw already a couple months later and get so much more helpful info! The more "newbie" flavored info I felt I already knew would now be a helpful reinforcement and I could absorb more of the advanced techniques or thought processes behind them. I wanted to improve my character drawing skills. I have always been impressed by Loish’s mature style, creativity, and color usage. I bought each of her books as a result. The Patreon seemed like a natural next step. Loish is simultaneously a very accomplished and open artist. She very closely covers her process, inspirations, strengths, and even insecurities as an artist. I did not expect to get such lavish tutorials on all types of content, including her signature character art. You would be hard-pressed to find similarly useful and upfront tutorials online at this skill level. I was truly surprised just how many tutorials were available and how useful and incredibly thoughtful each was. There are aspects of stylization, line-work, forms, and more that aren’t even found in textbooks around the topic. So many tips and tricks that will take your character work to the next level. Loish is an artist I wanted to support for the longest of times but didn't have the means to because of the difference in currency. I believe many others might feel the same with their favorite artists, sometimes a US dollar is worth a lot more in other countries. But as soon as I got the chance to though, it was so worth it! It might sound silly, but one of the biggest reasons I've always related to her is how she's also fond of the good old round brush! Hahaha I've always struggled with organizing a digital workflow, and other artists I also admire would usually go for so many layers and brushes and textures. Loish has talents in more places than visual arts. Her tutorial structures are comforting to listen to yet articulated perfectly as to not lose your attention. She is excellent at putting concepts into words that make sense to the viewer, while also providing a lot of valuable information at a time. Her tutorials are always well executed, and they range from more technical topics to more abstract things that you wouldn't think about when starting your artistic journey. There's also a lot more value besides tutorials alone. Loish has a very strong viewer-creator relationship, and is very interactive with her Patreons. This is a community that has a great connection and it's definitely a place that your voice will be heard. I personally have found that my own art skills have skyrocketed since joining her Patreon, and I've been drawing seriously for over a decade. I've been a fan of Loish's very colorful and free-flowing art style for quite some time, and own all 3 of her art books. A Few months ago I wanted some extra inspiration and joined her Patreon. She's the only account I have subscribed to on Patreon, I can feel a lot of love in her effort and content that she puts onto Patreon, from Tutorials, process videos, monthly challenges, Q&A and Discord community and support. If you enjoy her art style and want to learn more about her mindset and process I highly recommend joining her Patreon. Her willingness to share her love for art and her journey feels vulnerable and genuine, you're sure to find something that inspires you on here. Her explorative approach to art, really helped me push through the constraints I'd put onto myself for a while. I've loved drawing for so long, but I always felt hesitant to draw - maybe a version of blank-canvas syndrome. Her mindset of "there's no wrong way to do it", "change the reference and exaggerate the flow of the image"(paraphrased) really helped me. I attached a sketch from reference I felt was quite inspired by her style and that I'm happy with.

Loish's Patreon is such an invaluable resource. She consistently puts out new content that challenges me to practice new skills and makes it easy to learn what interests me specifically. She has learning paths and a huge library of past videos for your art journey. I think my favorite content she has put out are the videos around mental health as an artist and the importance of creating an art routine. I don't see many artists talking about things like that, and certainly none as thoroughly as Loish.
