Rava was a true blessing on our birthing journey! Going into the RavaWomb course I expected to learn a bunch of breathing and pain reduction techniques as well as birthing positions etc. While Rava covered all of this, the course and her wisdom runs so much deeper! The course was by no means surface level as it had us dig deep into our beliefs on birth and life. She had my attention from the word go as she described her philosophy in educating couples with the intention of reducing birth and postpartum trauma. Without this I know our birthing experience would have been a lot different...our birth certainly didn't go to plan and from the preparation we received from her we were able to navigate some tricky decisions to ultimately have a beautiful, healthy baby girl! Rava is a true birthing guide with a genuine passion for all the couples she prepares for birth. I strongly recommend anyone who is on the path to parenthood to take her course! Thanks Again Rava...you are a beautiful soul!

I birthed my healthy son vaginally, even without an epidural and most importantly without any intervention. Breastfeeding and recovery was bliss compared to my first time. I believe it happened due to Rava’s strategic method of how to maximize the chances of having a VBAC! This was a life-changing experience for me. I felt more confident in my life. I am forever grateful for her support and guidance ❤️🙏🏻 When pregnant with my second child, during the pandemic, I went to the clinic and learned I had been labeled “high-risk”. My first child was born via c-section. They told me that I needed to do a second c-section as the chances I will deliver vaginally are slim. I was very upset as c-section was not my choice and I thought with proper guidance from my doctor I believed it could have been prevented with my first child.  I felt I was just a number in the system and without even giving me a chance they label me as unable! I was very hurt and disempowered. It felt like they are not giving me a chance and scare me with their statistics, telling me that I needed to know that my decision can potentially hurt my baby! It was heartbreaking. I read about VBAC and transferred to a different doctor and decided to find a doula that can be my advocate and help me to navigate through this medical system. I found Rava and felt so much hope and relief that I will have a chance to have my labour naturally and be treated as able! I followed her guidance in all the aspects of prenatal care and how to prepare. She guided me through all the steps and made sure that when active contractions came I knew the game plan. I felt loved and protected which gave me strong confidence that I can do it and removed all the anxiety about whether the hospital personnel will “let me” birth normally.

Paul and I want to thank you for enlightening us about the realities of labour and birth. Personally, I feel your course freed my being of many fears I had about the labour and birth experience. Your love of what you do and your commitment to women around you was very inspirational. You are a wonderful woman! Rosa Malta, architect

Rava, it is hard to put it into words what your support has meant to us on our journey to becoming parents. You are the kind of person I think every woman deserves to have in her corner, and at such an important time in my life your presence before, during and after the birth of S. has been utterly invaluable. Your relationship guidance (and all around guidance), book recommendations, the course, your photos, and the main event of course, and your visits afterward can't be quantified. Your energy helped bring this whole experience to another level...It is clear to us that while this experience is a beautiful and powerful one in itself, your support helped me find the strength and confidence to birth from my heart. I feel such immense gratitude for you! You said things to me that will stay with me for a lifetime. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. I just love you! Emily

During these Covid times, everything has been challenging. I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't quite what I had envisioned this birth to be but we are so grateful for all of your help and support. Thank you for all your guidance with the breech presentation.

You have had such a profound impact on my life. You literally helped me bring my baby into the world and made me feel so loved, and special and safe the entire time — and I didn't have my mama. I won't ever forget it!

Rava, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so very much. When Tracy approached me about your course I have to admit that I thought that there was nothing more to learn as “I had done it all”, being a Paramedic. Oh how I was wrong. Your course was so informative and opened my eyes and my heart to the many possibilities that we all have within ourselves. I will not pretend to understand what a woman will go through but taking your course definitely helped me a bit to understand somewhat. You helped me face my greatest fear and hopefully tame it and believe it or not you helped me get in touch with a side of myself that I had not seen in many years. I know now that depending on what you see there are many options out there for couples, and I will now wholeheartedly endorse midwifery, doulas and your course – not only as a father but as a Paramedic. You have opened these eyes to something that I never would have embraced. I thank you so much for a life changing course and experience. Ryan Collyer

Working with Rava throughout her Prenatal Course was a gift from God! Rava is extremely talented in what she does as a veteran doula, mother and surrogate, her attention to detail and compassion and love truly made this course a memorable experience. She provided us, as a couple, with various tools for the unknown laborland experience. And the exercises and personal inner journaling work required to bring awareness to my fears and unknown blockages, before heading into the greatest initiation of my life! I’m forever grateful for Rava's gifted talent in encompassing all the aspects of prenatal, labor, birth and the challenges of postpartum. Unbelievable experience and will forever have an imprint on my heart! Highly recommend this course! It prepared us for the unexpected type of birth we had, without birth trauma being a part of our experience 🙏🏼💜👼🏻 thank you much love xox Amber

Posting in honour of world doula week! Our doula Rava (pictured left) guided us through the weeks preceding labour, and then for 2+ days in labour leading to birth of our daughter. And then she offered invaluable assistance in establishing breastfeeding in the hour after birth. There are more emotions surrounding the birth of a child than can ever be expressed in a post like this. But this much I know: in large part because we had the assistance of our doula, I did not experience the birth of our child as trauma, and I will never remember or tell it as a "horror story." Every mom should seriously consider having a doula at her birth.

I've been wanting to take a few minutes all day to try and articulate to you how very thankful I am that we have been connected to you ❤️ You are indeed living up to your name as an angelic rebel working for right relationships in families and birthing practices, educating and preventing trauma. I am learning so much and am increasingly in awe of the power of women, our bodies, the healing power of supportive families, and seeing it in action in the families you attract. It is beyond beautiful Rava. You are masterful in your craft and communications; and the space you created last night for the last night of our course was so very sacred.

My wife and I wanted to have a VBAC. With our first we had a c-section and that was not what we wanted, it was very hard for my wife, we were in the hospital for a week, we had a terrible experience with the hospital, pressured us into stuff, gave us huge amounts of Pitocin. We just didn't know. We thought we knew, but we didn't know. So then to have a VBAC and we find out not a lot of doctors would offer it. But we had such a terrible experience last time so we had to make changes. We went to a different hospital for a start, UCLA, learned what we needed to know, and the next two births of our children were beautiful births.

Rava was a huge support to me and my husband during my first pregnancy and even more so following a very difficult birth and even more challenging post partum period. The trust built from our first experience working with Rava played a huge part in embarking on the journey and eventual delivery of having our second child. We are SO forever grateful for Rava and highly recommend her!
