Hi, I’m in my first year at Uni. Heather has been great. When I’m in a pickle, she is always there to help me resolve the issue. She supports me by providing guidance and advice. She has taught me a lot about my Autism diagnosis, and I am extremely grateful.

You've helped me in a variety of different ways, from developing study skills to understanding technology more to writing essays. You understand my needs and you help to solve them for me. What I like most is probably how for whatever problem I have, you're always able to help. I would definitely recommend you to a friend.

Having the support and someone to ask many questions to has been beneficial as well as having someone who is incredibly patient. It's been very helpful having someone very knowledgeable about supporting neurodiverse people in education with study skills and support. It's made accessing uni a lot less stressful. I would definitely recommend it.

You understand very well that I have problems with communicating in written and spoken form and improving on that is what I need the most help with. I find the sessions with you very useful as we are practising exactly what I am lacking and you provide me with tips on how to use all of the available resources like software and the library. I would certainly recommend you to a friend.

I'm in the last year of my course, and this has been my best support so far; he understands my needs. I'm busy during the day when on placement; my sessions happen at the weekend or evening, sometimes even on the same day if I need to talk. I like that he is good at listening and helps me talk through different ways of fixing problems. I wish I had this support earlier on I my course.

The support I’ve received has been tailored to suit my course content as well as my personal additional needs as an adhd and autistic adult. My tutor is positive and focused. They keep me on track and help me understand all the things I daren’t ask about in other public educational situations. I don’t know how I’d manage my degree without them. I’m learning so much about myself and what I need to succeed on my course, and sessions have fitted into my hugely changeable life timetable with ease. Would absolutely recommend.

In 3 years of uni, Graeme is by far the best study skills tutor I’ve had! He’s so quickly adapted to my way of learning and my needs to get the best out of me. He’s shown me some incredible tools to support my academic skills but also to help my daily life. He’s extremely flexible and can always find times that fit around my busy schedule. He’s not only helped with my uni work but is easy to get along with and helps support me when motivation and mood is low. Bonus points for having a cute dog that occasionally gets some screen time on our Google meetings!

Due to being only diagnosed with autism for a year and half before starting higher education, so I was unaware of what support I was entitled to. Having access to this service has been a second to none source of aid in my educational journey. I was nervous about returning to school after a long gap but my mentor Heather has been so understanding and comforting. I don't know what I'd do without our weekly chats. The knowledge that I have someone championing me and cheering me on has made such a difference to my enthusiasm to work. I would recommend this service to anyone who's neurodiverse and in higher education.

I would like to say, that I would recommend them to anyone and everyone, the service and quality of the service is on and frankly I don’t think can be beaten. My needs have been I understood entirely even when late to meetings they’ve been accepting and accommodating for this. Heather has also been understanding on a personal level and accommodating as she understood why at first I would never use my camera, letting me get used to our sessions and now I feel comfortable enough to be able to do so. Heather also is able to help with so many issues and is extremely understanding of my issues and I imagine so many others also benefit from the calling, laid back nature.
