It has changed my life, nothing else to say. For the better, that is. Once you go YNAB, you never go back.

YNAB has changed my life & the way I think about money. It has brought so much peace and insight.

Life changing product. It teaches you a completely new paradigm for taking control of your money. The educational resources are top notch as well. I've been using YNAB for about 6 years now and it's the best investment I've made by a long shot.

I’ve been using YNAB for a full year now, and I honestly don’t know where I’d be without it. I had worked hard to become financially stable before YNAB, but I struggled to save intentionally for the things I really wanted. I also often felt dread about spending money — even on things that really mattered — because I wasn’t fully sure if I could afford it. This year, I set a big goal: saving for a solar system for my house without paying any interest — and I did it! On top of that, YNAB has helped me spend guilt-free money on more of the things I value like travel and new hobbies. I've even been able to help two close family members in becoming more financially secure using my account, which has been incredibly meaningful. This is the longest I’ve ever stuck with a budgeting tool, and by far the most successful I’ve felt using one. YNAB doesn’t just track money — it changes how you think about it. I’ll never live without it again.

I was skeptical of YNAB at first, but a few months in, I now feel EXTREMELY comfortable about my not feeling worried about my expenses. As someone who lives on one source of income, YNAB made my budgeting far better than anything I could have done. As far as app usability is concerned, there are no issues whatsoever. For an app as complex as YNAB with so many features, it is extremely user-friendly. I LOVE YNAB!!!!

I’ve been using YNAB for years. It’s the only method that “clicked” for my brain and it’s helped us stay on track and out of debt for more than a decade. The app and website are VERY actively maintained and improved. Worth every penny. Thank you to the whole team behind YNAB!

We’ve been using YNAB for 11 years now and I can’t imagine life without it.

I can’t believe I ever lived without YNAB. Transformed my finances and my relationship to money. It just becomes part of daily life and brings so much peace of mind.

YNAB has COMPLETELY changed my finances! I do not earn a lot but by using YNAB and sticking to it, I feel like I am rich. I can't explain how magic this app is. Commit to it and you won't regret it.

YNAB changed my life. Truly. I’m a year in now, but even after a few weeks my understanding of my finances totally shifted. Because of YNAB I feel significantly less anxious and more in control. I’ve saved a ton, decreased my debt, and spend happily on what matters to me. YNAB is also super easy to use and I trust it to protect my data and my banking info. A huge win all around!!

I've never responded to a review request but this app has changed my life, honestly.

I’ve been using the YNAB app for a few years now and it’s awesome! I love knowing how much I have for each thing in life. My finances are so much simpler now that I don’t have to separate everything in different accounts. This app lets me organize everything wherever I am. I ❤️ YNAB!!

I don’t generally recommend apps or products but I am a big fan of YNAB and truly think it has helped me get on top of my finances so that now—they’re right—I don’t worry about them. If you want clarity about where your money is going and how to manage it, I don’t know that there’s a better product out there.

I love YNAB so much. It totally changed my life by giving me an easy way to take control of my finances. It’s totally worth it to pay for a membership. I highly recommend this for everyone.

I've been using this app for nearly one year. It has changed the way I do money, the way I track it, the way I plan it, the way I respond to unexpected. Living through times of rising costs I feel calm and organised instead of anxious and unsure.

changed my life, not joking

Obsessed with this app and all it has done for my finances!

We’ve been using YNAB for a year now and it’s been life-changing. We went from a messy expense lifestyle where we overpaid for things and didn’t know how much money we had, to accounting for every dollar, bill and expense while still being able to save for things. Game changer.

I absolutely love this app. I literally am never stressed about money anymore. It’s addicting.

This app completely changed how my husband and I conceptualize, manage, and talk about money. We went from being anxious and unsure about our finances, to confident and in control. We make a plan together so that WE control our money, not the other way around. We’ve paid off debt, saved and paid for vacations in cash, and survived job losses without a sweat. We’re YNAB’ers for life.

Such a great app. I am a big believer in their moto, “Never worry about money again.” I have been using YNAB for a few years now and can say with confidence, “I don’t worry about money.” And let me just say, it’s not because I make a lot 🤷

I love the YNAB system.. I always have a money account. I never have to worry if I have enough money for my bills. One of my dreams in life was to have my bills in auto pay that and I am living that dream lol!

Best thing that ever happened to my finances!

Amaze amaze amaze!!!

YNAB has changed our lives!

I honestly can’t tell you how long I’ve been using YNAB, but I could not live without it now. I was already using a very similar method before using the app. But YNAB has not only made it easier for me to manage my finances but it’s helped me “find” money I didn’t know I had. It made planning for my children much less stressful. Made me see my husband and I could afford the addition to our house when our family began growing. Helps us plan for the expected and unexpected. It’s literally saved my financial life and taken the worry away when new things come up. To some it looks like I just spend money without care, but if they ask me, I’ll spend hours telling them I planned for it all and how they need to do the same. Any chance I get to tell people about YNAB, I take it and run with it! It’s the most important app I will ever have on my phone and will never go without.

This app has changed the game for my family finances. We used to get car repairs and take months to pay them down, or pay bills in a panic. YNAB helped us get organized and with some discipline and planning, we can mostly write checks to pay for what we need. Thank you YNAB!

YNAB has been a literal life saver. I’ve never been more in control of my money. I actually feel financially independent and can put every single dollar to use. Everything about this app has accelerated my life tenfold and will continue to help me for the rest of my life.

I’m not kidding. I have been using this app for 20+ years (since the desktop version). I was able to control my spending and save for a house and make monthly 401k contributions. I’m now a millionaire. 10/10. I’ll be able to retire with a paid off house and a steady income stream at 65.

YNAB has helped me build a secure relationship with money for the first time in my life and healed generational trauma and patterns with money. I feel more secure, confident and comfortable with money now than when I had a high-paying job but zero awareness of where my money was going and was susceptible to lifestyle creep.

It’s probably cliche, but it’s honest - this app has transformed the way I approach money, and thus my life. I have been fortunate enough to have a decent income my whole life, but never really felt very secure or had much savings. However, YNAB quickly exposed the holes and my savings skyrocketed. After six months my furnace went out and I was basically able to cover the expense without a worry. I am a believer in the YNAB system

I’ve now used this app (and the desktop versions that proceeded it) for about 10 years and it has been the best thing I ever discovered in terms of managing my money. No idea how I would have managed without it and very grateful to all the devs who have worked on it over the years and continue to improve it year after year. Worth every penny. Keep up the great work!

I’ve been using YNAB since 2014 and it’s literally changed my life. It’s relieved so much financial stress. It’s much better to know how much money is coming in and how much is going out than to be guessing or constantly a little worried. Thank you YNAB ☺️

This app has been genuinely life-changing for getting my finances under control. Almost immediately after I started using it, I was able to build an emergency fund, start saving consistently, and get months ahead on my bills. It gave me a clear structure and visibility that I didn’t have before. I recommend it to anyone who’s struggling with budgeting or trying to take control of their money—it makes a real difference.

I absolutely love it and can not see myself living without it.

Love it and now my son is seriously considering YNAB soon. He’s watching YNAB videos and gathering his paperwork. Update: Son has started his YNAB journey.

Been here since YNAB Classic 4.

I’m unbelievably grateful I found this app. 20 years ago I used to stuff cash into envelopes and when everything started going digital I could never get a grasp on finances like I had then. I’ve gone from living in a state of fear about how or if I was going to be able to pay next month’s bills to having multiple streams of savings and being months ahead on bills. I’ve never been so financially secure in my life, thanks to YNAB.

this app has saved my life. you really can see the benefits in first 30 days. i am never going back. no joke. it has brought a lot of calm and control into my life. thank you.

Gives you power of your money, your spending and life. No longer worried about covering expenses well into the future. Lets us live life with joyful abandon while still paying the light bill.

Besides the incredible humans at YNAB, this app has changed my life. I've tried so many and most of them were fancy versions of a spreadsheet. Nothing has given me insight into my finances like YNAB does. I know exactly where every penny is going or going to go in the future (even those pesky or fun surprises that always come up). I've become a proud budget nerd and love every minute of it. Don't worry if you have questions or need help getting going, you will have kind knowledgeable humans ready to help.

This app and the free educational material can change your whole perspective on money and bring true financial freedom even while still digging your way out of debt. It totally changed the way that we communicate about money in our marriage.

This budgeting app has changed my life. I love how organized it allows me to be. How I can set goals for each category. And how I know what to expect as the month goes on financially. I don’t know why every single person in the world doesn’t use this app.

I was referred to YNAB by a friend and it has totally changed my life. I've been able to take control of my money and in two years have gone from $10k on my credit card to rolling into January with a zero balance on my CC having spent close to $500 on Christmas gifts and almost 40k in my savings account. I'm now in a position where I could lose my income completely and be okay for almost 3 months because I know I have my bills and mortgage set aside for that time. I almost never look at my bank account now, just YNAB.

I’ve used YNAB on a near daily basis for around 15 years. It helped me up out of a hole, and has been my financial GPS since. I even taught my kids about personal finance using YNAB

I started YNAB back in 2007 and have never looked back. After 08 we thrived all while making less! We knew where each dollar went and we realized that we had more than we thought. This gave us the tools to build our wealth and end money arguments. We haven’t had CC debt in over 12 years and we are now 100% debt free. The YNAB lifestyle has us bank rolling vacations and major expenses like car repairs with ease. Don't sweat the app's cost it will pay for itself in a month if you work the plan. I say go for it. Thanks YNAB

We started using YNAB just over a year ago by recommendation of great friends. We totally had to flip the way we thought of our paychecks, but seeing how we can set aside money little bits at a time and watching it grow makes paying things like annual bills stress-LESS rather than stress-FUL like they used to be. We also never imagined that we would buy a new house and were able to do so many things like travel etc without going into credit card debt. Thank you YNAB and our special friends for making money management so much easier!!!

Started YNAB in 2011... 14 years later, I know where every dollar has gone & given them a “Job”. Been a game changer & I always know exactly what do with every dollar we make. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Signing up for YNAB has literally changed my life. I recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Best Budgeting App! Helps me plan for the future. This app helps me see where I am at financially, And gives me peace of mind all my bills are covered.

This app is slowly but surely changing my life, and therefore my children’s future. I got into the horrible habit of emotional spending and this app literally stopped it in about a month. Seeing the impact all those (so called) small purchases were adding up to completely changed my outlook on how to deal with money. I will never go back to life before YNAB!!!! I literally will be paying for this app for the rest of my life, and teaching my children (and gosh, anyone who will listen) how to do financial life with YNAB. Don’t even bother with any other financial apps. Do the 34 day trial, and watch your life and your brain change for the better!!!!!

Genuinely one of the most impactful apps you could ever use

We’ve been using YNAB since 2009. It changed our marriage & how we handled money. It has been a blessing!!

I found YNAB about 15 years ago, shortly after getting married. Hubby and I decided I’d manage our spending, despite budgeting being completely new to me. At first, I only tracked where our money went. Then I discovered I could actually tell it where to go. Fast-forward to today, and I couldn’t live without YNAB. It’s helped us save, spot fraudulent transactions, track our home loan debt and feel confident about our spending. I tell everyone about it and have got most of my family now using it too. I’ll happily move money between categories to make the plan work. And if reconciliation says I’m out by one cent, I will find it. It may take an unreasonable amount of time, but at that point it’s no longer about the money. It’s personal.

Love. Love. Love. Love this app! First, they don’t sell your information. They only make money through the membership. It’s also a very beautifully and thoughtfully designed interface. Second, it has brought so much sanity to my world. My partner and I have different money personalities, and this has helped us have good conversations as well as become more purposeful with our funds and aligned on our goals. He likes to spend money and I don’t. This app has brought harmony to our marriage showing him the advantage of pulling back some and allowing me to see that it is OK to splurge every now and then. There was definitely a learning curve when we first started. The tutorial videos on YouTube are both incredibly helpful and funny! Also, the support chat within the app is fabulous. I hit a few brick walls with frustration and not knowing what was going on and it was wonderful to also have the their team ready and able to quickly log in (with my permission) and help me figure out what was going on when I was too tired to figure it out myself. They both explained it clearly and fixed it for me. Gold stars all around!!

I’ve been using this app for 15 years and it has had a significant impact on how I manage my money. With this app I have got out of debt, survived 5 months of unemployment without the usual stress, bought a car with car and saved a deposit for a house. All things I never thought I would be able to do. Thanks YNAB!

This app will hands down change your life. It’s much more than an app, it’s a complete mindset. It’ll help you align your priorities. The YNAB team truly cares about their users and are always taking feedback to make it more enjoyable. Thank you YNAB.

been using it for a decade. life changing app.

YNAB changed my life, I can’t really say that about any other app. The app is nice, but it’s really the method for handling money that makes YNAB so special. It took several months but now my family is a month ahead on all our bills, and we are saving toward big goals. We’ve been YNABing for four years now and we’ve never worried less about money.

I've been using YNAB for 10+ years. Still loving it!

Changed my life (in a good way obvs)

This app is life-saving, I will never have to worry about money again. Thank you, YNAB.

There’s a reason this company has its own fanfest. Nothing better.

YNAB has completely changed my life and the way I feel and look at my money. I have tried everything else on the market and my own spreadsheet system, but NOTHING compares to YNAB. My eternal gratitude to these people for inventing and continually improving the perfect life planning app.

I love using this app and use it daily. It has saved me as I transitioned from full time work to partial retirement by helping me stay focused on my available funds. Everyone should use this app it is a game changer.

YNAB has been absolutely life-changing for me! I have been able to track my finances and budget consistently for the first time in my life. I’ve been using it for over a year now and cannot imagine my life without it anymore. I tried Mint, Monarch and Copilot but none of those truly worked for me. YNAB’s app and method were simple to follow and I’ve definitely been seeing positive results and net worth since using the app.

YNAB is the best budgeting app out there. I’ve been using YNAB for years and it has literally changed my life. I have peace, visibility, and control regarding my finances. I have been able to pay off AND STAY OUT of debt!! It’s been life-changing and I could not recommend it more!! It’s been great for my teen to learn about budgeting and managing his first checking account, without having to pay a separate subscription fee.

YNAB changed my relationship with money. I’ve gone from scared to open my checking account and credit card statements and significant debt to paying off my credit card and increasing my net worth 150% — while still eating out, taking vacations, and paying cash for everything. I can not say enough good things about this app. Thank you YNAB team 💜💰

Changed my life. Not a joke. Knowing the precise impact of what your funds are doing. What every dollar is for and the transparency and flexibility to reallocate funds on the fly is incredibly rewarding. The financial success of my family has increased dramatically as a direct result of YNABs use. When I spend, I no longer spend from a pile of money hoping that I'm leaving enough for what matters. Now I know EXACTLY the dollars I'm spending and when and where I can make changes month to month.

YNAB has exponentially increased my ability to understand my finances. It’s helped my husband and I have more strategic conversations about our finances. We recently had to make a somewhat unexpected car purchase and I was able to identify where I could finance that and paid for the car in cash and felt comfortable doing. That’s a game changer for us. I feel like this platform is one of the most impactful tools that I’ve ever used and I’m excited to continue my financial journey with YNAB.

YNAB has revolutionized our finances! We’ve been using it for about a year now, and it has brought immense clarity to our spending habits. It has honestly simplified a task that has been daunting for many years. I can’t imagine my life without YNAB at this point.

Probably my favorite app. Most empowerment and clarity I’ve ever experienced with my finances. Stellar, stealthy tool that has been worth every dollar. An outstanding service. Cool thing is it’s more than an app, it’s a community.

Life changing and saved my marriage. I haven’t paid one penny in late fees, interest or overdraft!

I’ve been using YNAB for 3+ years now and the difference in my life is astounding. I understand where my money is going month by month, and I have removed so much financial stress from my day to day. The app supports the approach, and the approach just works. Easiest annual subscription money to justify ever - it’s paid for itself many times over! Thanks to YNAB for all the work on a great product!

Using YNAB has brought so much confidence around how I’m using my money and where it’s being allocated. It’s allowed me peace of mind. Worth the money.

Platform is easy to use and truly improving my life!

I’ve been using YNAB for nearly 20 years, from their early days as a computer program to today, as a well-integrated phone app and site. They are knowledgeable and worth every penny!

Worth every bit of the subscription fee. This app has illuminated so much and transformed the way we see and treat money. Can’t praise it enough. Wish I had downloaded this 10 years ago!

This app is worth every single penny, I use it every single day and it has absolutely changed my family’s lives and finances. I am so grateful to YNAB. I love the desktop version and the app, and all of the little details that allow me to really dial in to my spending and savings goals

We love YNAB! It has changed our financial lives!

I never write reviews. I’ve started getting educated on finances, YNAB has helped me make proactive plans for my money that feel aligned to what matters in my life instead of avoiding the subject or dreading it. It’s truly been enlightening and I’m very grateful for YNAB’s help.

When I first started using YNAB, I thought I was just looking for a better way to manage my money. What I didn't expect was how much clarity and confidence it would give me about my financial future. As I tracked my spending and priorities throughout my first year with YNAB, I came to an important realization: my current income wasn't going to support the life I wanted to build. YNAB helped me see that reality clearly, and it gave me the motivation to take action. I applied for a new job, landed it, and six months into that role, I'm preparing to close on my very first house next week. Buying a home felt like a distant dream before. YNAB helped me create a plan, stay focused on my goals, and feel in control of my money instead of stressed by it. More importantly, it helped me understand what was possible and gave me the confidence to make a major career change that ultimately made this milestone achievable. Thank you, YNAB, for helping me feel better about money, align my spending with my priorities, and achieve a goal I once thought was years away. I'll always be grateful for the role you've played in helping me become a homeowner.
