A really incredible teacher who has a passion and heart for helping her students. The time and effort she put into us has been umantehed compared to any other teacher I have had- she cared not only for our knowledge of chem but also for us as people. Her in depth knowledge and ability to explain things to us in a student level greatly enhanced my understanding of chemistry!
I wasn't entirely struggling before getting tutoring but I definitely improved in grades and confidence after tutoring. The effort and dedication of Katherine to ensure her students thrive and love Chemistry is incredible! She puts in so much hard work and creates and shares so many great resources - such as like 200 page notes - and they are so so helpful! Seriously my best decision to get tutoring from Katherine and I love her motto of YEAH YOU CAN
Doing tutoring with Katherine completely transformed my VCE Chemistry experience. Before her guidance, complex concepts felt overwhelming, and my confidence was low. Katherine is so so good at breaking down intricate topics. She uses tailored examples that directly correlate with exam questions, which significantly improved my application skills.Thanks to Katherine's patience, expertise, and genuine dedication, I developed a deeper, lasting appreciation for the subject. I was on the verge of dropping chemistry, averaging around 30% on my SACs and not passing a single one in Year 11. Two chem teachers told me to drop it, but I decided to give it one more shot and found Katherine on TikTok. By the end of Year 11, I was actually passing chem for once. Katherine helped me understand concepts in a way that made sense to me. It wasn’t just about reading notes and answering questions; it was about understanding why things were right or wrong. She built my confidence, and in Year 12, I scored 75% and above on all my SACs, even hitting 98% on one! I ended the year with a study score of 44, and I couldn’t have done it without Katherine!
Katherine is a phenomenal Chemistry teacher and not only is she great at what she does (helping students get VCE chem) -- she is an incredible support to have throughout year 12. You're pretty much covering the same content you go over at school with exam style questions in the YYC sessions so you're not learning two things at once but mastering what you're learning as you go. Then there's exam revision where you go over your struggle topics the most (also with exam questions) which I think is really important. Above all Katherine is superrr amazing because her classes cater for anyone and everyone and she is always happy to answer questions outside of class too so I 10/10 recommend YYC! :D
