How did you find Senja? Why were you looking for a testimonial tool?

I chanced upon Senja when I saw a tweet by Wilson and decided to give them a try after finding their main competitor's pricing to be excessively high.

Trying out Senja was an easy decision given the quality of their product and reasonable pricing.

What's your testimonial collection process?

Gathering testimonials can be a challenging task as customers typically need to be prompted to write one.

To simplify this process, I automated the testimonial collection through my email marketing. Here's what I did:

#1. I used Senja to streamline the testimonial collection process.

Modest created a collection form on Senja. Senja's free and makes it easy for his customers to leave him a text or video testimonial without complex uploads.

Here's what his form looks like:

#2. I sent an email requesting a testimonial after customers received their paid or free product.

Once Modest had a form ready, he got busy. He shared his testimonial form on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and his website and more.

#3. I offered a small gift upon completion of the testimonial.

Modest offers his customers a free gift in return for a testimonial - a Notion list of creator tools. This is known as a testimonial incentive.

Senja customers that use incentives get twice as many testimonials. You can use a discount code, a free download, a digital asset, or a gift voucher.

#4. I automated everything

2 hours after a customer downloads one of his products on Gumroad, Modest sends a testimonial request email to them.

Testimonial requests sent when you're still fresh in your customer's minds perform significantly better than those sent weeks or months later, when the customer has already forgotten about you.

You can trigger testimonial emails a number of hours after a download, checkout, positive feedback or support experience.
